Totem is a real estate development firm that specializes in community-driven projects and innovative design. We build intentional, inclusive developments focused on four key pillars:

Avatar
All of our projects have a significant affordability component, with special emphasis on making housing opportunities accessible to local residents. We strive to go beyond off-the-shelf affordability programs to increase housing for all.
Avatar
We prioritize local hiring, minority- and women-owned business contracting, and workforce training on all our projects to help ensure they contribute to creating a more equitable economy.
Avatar
From micro-grant programs led by community stakeholders, to preservation of legacy uses, to designating below market space to local entrepreneurs, we work to ensure our neighbors are integrated into the DNA of our projects.

We incorporate advanced technology to make our buildings greener and more efficient, and our design process works to craft developments that reflect the provenance and promise of their neighborhoods.
